New record number and value of payments in NBS IPS system

On 14 February 2023, 311,916 payments were processed in the NBS IPS
system, which is a new record high since the system inception.

The NBS IPS system enables one of the world’s state-of-the-art
payment methods. It operates  24/7/365, i.e. citizens and businesses can
make payments easily and quickly, from any place and at any time they
wish – during weekends, non-working days, at night. The payee receives
money in a few seconds only. The system was launched on 22 October 2018
as one of the first systems of that kind in the world. It has been
functioning smoothly, recording an ever higher number of payments.
