IPS payments on a new record

On 15 April 2025, the NBS IPS system processed 462,978 payments worth
RSD 6,072,690,408.33, marking a new daily transaction record since the
system’s launch.

The IPS system provides one of the most advanced payment solutions
available globally. Operating 24/7, 365 days a year, the system enables
individuals and businesses to execute payments easily and swiftly,
from any location and at any time – including weekends, non-business
days or overnight – with funds credited to the recipient’s
account within seconds.

Launched on 22 October 2018, the NBS IPS system was among the first
systems of its kind worldwide and has since achieved exceptional
success, with transaction volumes consistently rising. This trend
underscores the widespread adoption and recognition of the system’s
benefits by both citizens and businesses in the Republic of Serbia.
