New record number of payments in NBS IPS system

On 15 May 2025, the NBS IPS system processed 484,175 payments worth
RSD 6,197,506,679.03, marking a new daily transaction record since the
system’s launch.

The NBS IPS system provides one of the most advanced payment
solutions available globally. Operating 24/7, 365 days a year, the
system enables individuals and businesses to execute payments easily and
swiftly, from any place and at any time – including weekends,
non-business days or overnight – with funds credited to the recipient’s
account within seconds.

Launched on 22 October 2018, the NBS IPS system was among the first
systems of its kind worldwide and has since achieved exceptional
success, with transaction volumes consistently rising. This trend
underscores the widespread adoption and recognition of the system’s
benefits by both citizens and businesses in the Republic of Serbia.
