New record number of payments in the NBS IPS system

On 14 February 2025, the NBS IPS system processed 453,656 payments worth RSD 5,677,763,327.40, touching a new record high since the start of its operation. 

The NBS IPS system enables one of the world’s state-of-the-art payment methods. It operates 24/7/365, i.e. citizens and businesses can make payments easily and quickly, at any place and any time – during weekends, non-working days, at night. The payee receives money in a few seconds only.

The system was launched on 22 October 2018 as one of the first systems of that kind in the world. It has been functioning smoothly ever since, recording a constantly rising number of payments, which indicates that Serbian households and corporates have recognised the advantages of this system.
