OTP Banka and UniCredit Bank enable the service of online IPS payments acceptance

Consumer confidence in IPS payments in merchants’ online stores and
online sale applications is rising and the number of executed
transactions is continuously going up. When making IPS payments,
sensitive data on the payment instrument or user are not used or stored
at the online point of sale, making online purchases completely safe.
Banks which accept instant payments have therefore continued to expand
their acceptance network and have enabled the acceptance of instant
payments at their online merchants.

The new banks which have certified their solutions for online IPS
payments acceptance and started providing this service to the first
merchants are OTP Banka Srbija a.d. Novi Sad and UniCredit Bank Srbija
a.d. Beograd. All online merchants wishing to enable instant payments
may now do so either through the OTP Banka or the UniCredit Bank, as
well as through other banks on the list published on the website of the
NBS IPS system, at the following link: NBS | Banks providing the instant payment acquiring service at points of sale.

This service offers the following advantages to merchants:

  • Low costs of payment instrument acceptance
  • Simple user experience for their buyers
  • Enhanced security of transactions
  • Smaller percentage of withdrawal from purchase when payment is made online
  • Funds credited to the account in a matter of seconds.
