Instant payment of fees for the issuance of personal documents and other services provided by the Ministry of Interior at the “Pay” system of the e-Uprava portal, by scanning the NBS IPS QR code

In light of the oncoming summer season and an increased number of applications for the issuance of personal documents in this period of the year, the eUprava portal has launched the “Pay” system for the creation of single payment slips, in order to facilitate the submission of applications for services provided by the Ministry of Interior. Citizens can now use the “Pay” system and make instant payments by scanning the NBS IPS QR shown on the downloaded slip.

Owing to the instant payment of fees by scanning the NBS IPS QR code, funds are transferred to the payee’s account within a few seconds only and are immediately visible as payment in the Ministry of Interior’s system.

To effect instant payments of fees for services provided by the Ministry, citizens need to scan the NBS IPS QR code and do the following:

Create the single payment slip in the “Pay“ system by completing it with requested data, and download it (“Download the Slip”), after which the slip with the NBS IPS QR code appears on the screen;

• Activate the “IPS Scan” function in the m-banking application of their bank and scan the shown NBS IPS QR code. A filled-in transfer order is opened, with data from the code, after which the payment can be made. If the application contains the “urgent” option, it should be clicked to ensure that the order is executed as an instant payment. If there is no such option, all transfer orders are executed as instant payments by default.

Payments by scanning the NBS IPS QR code are safe, fast and simple. The user does not leave personal data on his/her payment instrument in the “Pay” system of the e-Uprava portal and does not have to submit bank paper confirmations on completed payment. This also reduces the need for complaints about executed payments and helps avoid potential doubling of payments.
